Akemi is the Accounts and Practice Administration Officer, bringing over eight years of experience in NDIS billing, accounts administration, and client-facing support across allied health and disability services. With a Bachelor of Accounting and a deep working knowledge of NDIS compliance, funding processes, and practice operations, Akemi ensures the financial and administrative side of Soothing Minds runs accurately, smoothly, and with genuine care for every client who walks through the door.

Originally from Mexico with Japanese heritage, Akemi brings a warm, person-centred approach to every interaction — whether that’s supporting a client through onboarding, resolving a billing query, or making sure the right documentation is in place at the right time. She is passionate about working in environments where the work genuinely matters and that purpose is at the heart of everything she does.
