Mallory Cook

Psychologist (Registered)

Mallory is a registered psychologist (provisional) with an empathetic, compassionate, and warm nature. She has experience working with people from all walks of life, including people with various disabilities and neurodivergence such as Autism, ADHD, and Intellectual Disabilities, as well as providing therapy for people who are experiencing depression, anxiety, and stress. Mallory has extended experience in working with young children and their caregivers, specifically children with disability, developmental trauma, or behavioural concerns.

Mallory has a unique way of applying evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy, in an eclectic, tailored way that best suits the client.

Providing therapy that is underpinned by person-centred therapy is Mallory’s firm belief. This approach is embodied by empathy, unconditional positive regard, and zero judgement. The person-centred approach also has the assumption that the client is the expert of who they are, and the therapist takes on the role of collaborating with the client with transparency and honesty throughout the therapeutic process.
