What can you expect during your individual counselling session
The primary purpose of individual counselling is to help you to restore some sense of control in your life. Especially after some crisis event. It is not unusual for you to feel that you are not coping as you normally would. It is normal that things are becoming strained. You may feel overwhelmed and may be having difficulty with problem solving. Maybe you are finding that you are not able to do the things you normally could do. Are you finding that your basic beliefs about yourself, others and the universe are generally being challenged. Whatever you are going through, counselling can help you through this transition in your life.
One on one counselling is always discrete and provides you with the emotional and mental support that you need at that particular time in your life. Counselling can help you get to where you want to be or what you want to achieve. It provides you feedback and assistance to ensure your safety and promote your overall stability. One on one individual counselling helps you with problem-solving and obtaining available resources.
During the sessions, you are always listened to with respect, empathy and no judgment. Progression is always at your pace. This is your time and your safe and confidential space where you can talk about what you are currently going through. Sessions are normally one-hour in duration.
